As a W&I Inspector, you will be responsible for administering and supervising Weight & Inspection (W&I) Program
activities in the Service Center. It is expected that your role will immediately contribute to our revenue recovery efforts
by ensuring proper weights and descriptions are applied on shipments to gain revenue which would otherwise be lost
due to understatement of weight or incorrect description of commodities.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Three-year minimum experience performing weight and inspections for LTL carrier required.
• Knowledge of NMFC classification guide required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with a commitment to safety at all times.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
• Proficiency in using measurement equipment and tools.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to inspection sites.
• Certification as a W&I inspector is a plus.
• High Levels of Integrity and Trust - Adheres to moral, ethical, and professional standards, regulations, and
organizational policies.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasionally climb stairs, stoop, kneel or crouch
• Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object.
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office machines.
• Occasional exposure to extreme cold and/or hot working conditions.
• Occasional exposure to fumes working around tractor trailers, lift trucks, yard tractors present in the distribution
environment.
• Correctable vision and hearing.
• Consistently maintains excellent personal attendance records
• Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Sit for long periods of time
• Clear and understandable speaking voice for the purposes of telephone communication

ENVIRONMENT:
Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal
protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently
dangerous, must be careful while performing onsite services.
