The Interline Operations Representatives manage day to day processes associated with LTL brokerage services and Return to Mill Program At XGS, we believe in our people, and we sincerely believe in promotion from within, so operations clerks who show they have the right skills - plus an above and beyond dedication to customer service, quality, and safety - can be promoted to operation supervisor as their next career step!!

Responsibilities

  • M-F 8AM START!!!!
  • $15hr
  • Quote, book, and track brokerage shipments using enterprise software
  • Effectively manage multiple shipments at a time
  • Serve as intermediary between customer and carrier, communicating any changes in carrier or customer requirements
  • Ensure accurate and timely movement of freight within customer’s level of service standards
  • Identify customer problems and provide solutions
  • Develop and maintain available services knowledge
  • Professionally establish & maintain customer relationships via electronic and telephonic communication
  • Communicate and coordinate with XGS personnel to accomplish the work required to generate business
  • Ensure correct billing on all shipments
  • Obtain appropriate paperwork from carriers including POD’s
  • Reply to requests for quotes via email
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is imaged in a timely manner
  • Audit carrier invoices for accuracy and investigate any discrepancies
  • Follow-up for collection of payment as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of demonstrated experience achieving designated goals and results in a dynamic environment
  • Brokerage or transportation experience a plus
  • Ability to learn enterprise software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Work requires managing multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to professionally articulate, communicate, develop and deliver information
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills oral and written
  • Ability to maintain professional communication and ability to project a positive company image to the public
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and internet
